Meet the Woman Behind Create 4 You
Suzanne K Nance is a Wellbeing and Life Coach. She currently coaches in the Chicago-land area and via phone or Skype. Suzanne has had a diverse background. Starting off with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, with an emphasis in Arctic Marine Science, she first studied salmon for the food industry. Moving to Seattle, Suzanne changed disciplines, and worked in Cancer Research, being one of 7 researchers to start up the biotech firm, Biomembrane. Working in virology at Washington State University’s vet school, and then tumor immunology at University of Illinois-Chicago, Suzanne increased her depth and breadth of academic research.
As a mother of two small children, her attentions were drawn away from the intense hours needed for fulltime research. Instead, Suzanne worked in the Biochemistry lab at National Chiropractic College, where she studied the effectiveness of alternative medicine, while teaching the reading/writing program for 1-3 graders at DuPage Montessori School.
Always an avid athlete, Suzanne competed in the early days of triathlons. This led to the creation of her training business, “Create 4 You, Inc.”, where she trained individuals for marathons and triathlons. At age 44, Suzanne took a trip of a life time, climbing to the summit of Kilimanjaro. This led to a whirlwind journey touching the top of the tallest mountain on each of the 7 continents, and skiing to the South and North Poles. She now holds the world’s record as the first American Woman to have accomplished the “Explorer’s Grand Slam”.
Leaving the climbing world behind, Suzanne became a Board Certified Coach, helping others climb their Everest. She is a motivational speaker in addition to her coaching practice, and is passionate about helping others succeed. Along her journey, Suzanne has volunteered in the community, in the schools, for international organizations, and for WINGS.
